However, what is effective [ quality ]leadership?

People have their own thoughts about what effective [ quality ] leadership is.

Here are a few factors that are likely considered when defining effective [quality] leadership:

  1. Leadership qualities
  2. Responsibilities of leaders
  3. Expectations of leaders
  4. How leaders respond ( to their personal issues, to the needs of the people, to conflict, to business needs )
  5. Impacts leaders make on the people they are responsible for leading and on their organization
  6. Guidance needed from leaders
  7. Ownership and accountability of leaders

As stated in my self-refinement book In the Game: Careers & Executives, I define effective (quality) leadership as: Consistently effectuating positive differences and change.

A leader effectuating positive change and difference begins with who the person is as an individual and ends with ownership of outcomes under their leadership.
